&lt;i&gt;Friends of hers and people that are part of the Ted Kennedy political franchise told me that her aspirations to be in the Senate had nothing to do with that job -- but rather had a lot to do with &lt;b&gt;positioning to succeed Barack Obama in 2016&lt;/b&gt;&lt;b&gt;.

This was ultimately what Ted Kennedy wanted -- but Caroline, appropriately in my view, would not have been suited for or prepared for that life.&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/i&gt;

She wanted to run for President?!</description>
